WinZip: #1 zip & unzip tool App Reviews

Downloaded on ipad2. Tried opening a ZIP file in ipad mail. Message "mail cannot open this type of file". Tried various methods...closed mail and reopened, closed and opened winzip, shut down and restarted ipad, still no luck. Any suggestions?

I downloaded Winzip but it asks for a Password. I enter in the Password but it wont open and it asks for the Password again. Can you please fix this, no use having an App that I cant open a file with.

It can not even save unpacked file...

Please add bluetoth and wifi transfer feature. Please add support for ios 7. Please add pass code feature. Please add scan to pdf feature. Please add fax feature and add a feature to sign a document and share via imessage, mail, and facebook in pdf format.

Not sure why Im unable to upgrade using the Canadian store???

Well, WinZip Computing LLC still believes their software is worth a lot! Their so-called pro version costs $4.99!!!! LOL Not funny! As the title suggests, there are other tools which not only support zipping / unzipping / viewing files but MUCH cheaper. Search is your friend. ;)

Since the last update, it is impossible to open files with other apps. That is really the only reason I use winzip, so if I cant do that, its just a waste of space.

Ive tried opening files from e-mails but it dosent view them or open in the app

At first it seemed like this app lacked any functionality unless you purchased the full version. If you tap unzip or email file or any of the given options, it says you must buy the full version. You can see the contents of a Zip file, and if you hit the little icon in the upper right corner of a box with the up arrow, you can then do more with the content such as send to email, or in my case open a PDF file in iBooks.

What a waste of time

This app is useless unless you pay for it. Even the ads that pop up each time you click a button are confusing. You can essentially only view the contents of files. Use something else.

I like this app. Im the finance deacon for my church and needed to get a .zip file opened. My PC is having major issues right now and I needed to do some finance reports. I didnt think I could do it on the iPad, but I just typed in WinZip and there you were. Im pretty sure I will be upgrading to the full version. Thank you so much!

you can not do anything unless you purchase - dont waste your time downloading if youre looking for free
